Boisecq after the Original Drawings by RENOIR) Very Large Hardcover Portfolio Limited to 150 copies measuring approx 21 x 26.5 inches (533mm x 673mm) containing 11 etchings pulled by the engraver Boisecq after original drawings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir and 4 additional original etchings by Boisecq. Each of the 15 etchings with generous margins on a separate sheet of deckle-edge Arches measuring approx 21 x 26.5 inches (533mm x 673mm) and bearing the "Arches France" watermark at lower right. Each of the etchings with deep indented plate-marks and numbered in pencil in the margins 54/150 copies and signed in pencil by the engraver. In addition each etching signed in pencil most likely by someone from the estate of Renoir who authorized the publication and again signed at bottom right. Each of the etchings is presented loose (unbound) as published and separated by laid in full size tissue guards. A title page also featuring an etching and a page of text in French by Andre Verdet complete the contents. All presented within a French fold hardcover linen portfolio with title in gold gilt on front cover and cloth ties at side. These are large etchings as you would expect to see in a museum or expensive fine art gallery. General wear and minor discoloration to the portfolios covers, all etchings in very good to near fine condition, title page with some creasing to all edges overall in very good plus condition. Shipping: All titles are handled with the utmost care. To protect your purchase I first wrap each book in several layers of extra heavy brown kraft paper. Books are then protected with extra cardboard, bubblewrap etc. before being packaged in a heavy duty priority mail cardboard box. Smaller titles may at times be shipped in carboard envelopes or padded bubblewrap envelopes reinforced by extra cardboard.
